To celebrate the end of 2014, I put together a list of my favorite moments in my favorite place from the the last year. Brad and I were lucky enough to visit WDW twice this year (a record we hope only grows) and we had so many memorable moments! Here’s just a handful of the best, in no particular order:

1. Making new friends in the Maelstrom queue. This really could be extended to our last journey through Norway as a whole, but I enjoyed meeting new people in line. We found some kindred Midwest spirits and bonded during the half hour wait. Plus, they included us when the cast member asked how many were in their party-- so sweet! It's definitely an experience that adds another layer of nostalgia for this bygone attraction!

2. Relaxing at Animal Kingdom Lodge. It’s one of my favorite places to hang out on property, a must do for me after a day in Animal Kingdom.

3. Both times I ate the Tanzanian Chocolate Mousse from Sanaa. Seriously, it’s that good.

4. Staying in Magic Kingdom until 3am. We finished our night with It’s a Small World. As the ride ended, the cuckoo clock chimed 3, the time the park closed. It was a wonderful, Walt-y way to end the day!

5. Seeing the buzzed-about Tunnels under the Magic Kingdom on the Backstage Magic Tour.

6. Happening upon Dream Along With Mickey. We had never seen it before and loved the show, and the kismet that led us to it!

7. Riding Splash Mountain the day it reopened after renovation. The fresh paint made all the indoor scenes pop so much! Plus, this attraction is always a favorite for us, and we were just so glad that it reopened while we were there.

8. Riding Seven Dwarfs Mine Train for the first time.

9. Getting off the plane on mine and Brad’s first Disney trip on our own. It’s always an exciting feeling to know you have a whole vacation just ahead of you, but it was extra exciting doing it all on our own the first time.

10. Walking into Magic Kingdom for a spontaneous extra night in the park!
